Robotics team captains teaching Hornell's youth all about robotics and engineering! |
The Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant enables the Hornell City School District to provide programming meant to enrich the lives of its student population, both academically and socially, at no cost to students or their families. This blog will act as a forum for students, teachers and parents to discuss programming and the many ways we can work together to make it as beneficial as possible to Hornell's students.

Robotics Team Visits Hornell Public Library! Promotes Youth Robotics!
Hornell's robotics team, Raiders of the Lost Robot, has once again shown their outstanding commitment to the Hornell community as well as STEM, engineering, and robotics. The team captains, along with Coach Woughter, recently brought several robots to the Hornell Public Library, where they spoke to an audience of about 20 kids and their parents about how fun and exciting robotics can be. They talked about the process they go through when building, how they solve problems, and what they do with the bots once their built. After the talk, the students showed their attendees how the robots work, and even let the kids operate the bots by themselves!
