Corning Inc. engineers, Maggie and Eric Miller, talk engineering with the robotics team. |
The Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant enables the Hornell City School District to provide programming meant to enrich the lives of its student population, both academically and socially, at no cost to students or their families. This blog will act as a forum for students, teachers and parents to discuss programming and the many ways we can work together to make it as beneficial as possible to Hornell's students.

Corning Engineers Visit Robotics Team
Two Engineers from Corning Inc., Eric and Maggie Miller, were kind enough to visit our Robotics team, check out the robot, and help with a few mechanical issues that the students were running into. Not only did this prove to be very valuable in terms of the students' robot, but it the students had the opportunity to talk about careers in engineering. As providing college and career readiness is one of our grant's primary goals, this rare opportunity proved to be beneficial for our students' short term and long term goals.
