Teen Book Festival a Success!

Our Teen Book Festival Reading Group Trip to the Annual Teen Book Festival in Rochester was nothing short of awesome!  The students had the opportunity to spend the day in the company of some of their favorite authors, including Laurie Halse Anderson, Charles Benoit, Jay Asher and Jonathan Auxier!  Over the course of the day, different authors gave talks at different parts of the Nazareth College Campus, and students were free to visit the authors of their choosing.

One of the coolest things about this particular event is that the students ALWAYS come first.  If a particular author had a packed house for his or her talk, the adults, not the kids, were given the boot.  It happened to one of our chaperons during the Jay Asher presentation!  There were so many kids that wanted to hear the author of 13 Reasons Why that some adults, whether they were fans or not, had to give up their seats!

It was an awesome day, and both the students and the chaperons had a great time!
