| Our S.T.A.R.S. Students planting sunflower seeds! |
With Spring in the air, we thought our 2nd grade S.T.A.R.S. students might have a fun time doing some planting! After a lesson on germination, the process by which a seed grows into a plant, our students were each given sunflower seeds, a small planting container to start their flowers, and the know how to get them to grow. Over the course of the next couple of weeks, our 2nd grade green-thumbs should have big enough plants to put them outside! Look for an update in the coming weeks!
After Planting the Sunflowers, Mr. Turner gave the students an introduction to watercolor painting. By the end, we had some creative sunflower paintings!
