The Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant enables the Hornell City School District to provide programming meant to enrich the lives of its student population, both academically and socially, at no cost to students or their families. This blog will act as a forum for students, teachers and parents to discuss programming and the many ways we can work together to make it as beneficial as possible to Hornell's students.

Teen Book Festival Reading Group - Individual Reading - Festival this weekend!
Our most dedicated Teen Book Festival Reading Group Students were offered the opportunity to choose any book for individual reading by any festival author. Some of the more famous titles include Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, Prom by Laurie Halse Anderson, and Impulse by Ellen Hopkins. As the students complete their individual reading, they're gearing up for this weekend's trip to the annual Teen Book Festival in Rochester, where they'll meet the authors they've been reading all year!
