The Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant enables the Hornell City School District to provide programming meant to enrich the lives of its student population, both academically and socially, at no cost to students or their families. This blog will act as a forum for students, teachers and parents to discuss programming and the many ways we can work together to make it as beneficial as possible to Hornell's students.

Robotics/STEM
This program, based in the sciences of robotics and engineering, offers students the opportunity too... BUILD ROBOTS! Students meet to build and program robots from the ground up, incorporating design, functionality, and the ability to complete specific tasks, all while developing important and complex problem solving skills. The process of building these robots enriches students' education as it relates to S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) while encouraging them to further pursue their interest in the math and science subject areas.
