The Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant enables the Hornell City School District to provide programming meant to enrich the lives of its student population, both academically and socially, at no cost to students or their families. This blog will act as a forum for students, teachers and parents to discuss programming and the many ways we can work together to make it as beneficial as possible to Hornell's students.

Guitar Lessons - Guitar Center Tour!
The Jr/Sr High Guitar students had the opportunity to visit Guitar Center Rochester at the end of the school year. When they arrived, they were greeted by Ryan G., the store's general manager, who offered our students a behind the scenes view of how the business operates. He taught them about every aspect of the store, from shipping and receiving to the department they were most interested in: GUITARS! After the interesting and educational tour, the students were able to peruse the store, trying out everything from new guitars and amps, to effects pedals and even drums. It was an amazing experience, and our program can't thank Guitar Center Rochester and it's awesome GM Ryan G. for providing our students with such a great opportunity!
