Over the course of the 2013-2014 school year, Science teacher and Earth & Sky leader Kelly Jackson was kind enough to open her doors after school for an hour per week, so students could get extra help on their science labs. This extra time proved to be extremely valuable to our students; these labs can be difficult and time consuming, and often times students find themselves having to go to do lab work during study halls. Mrs. Jackson's program gave students a specific time and place they could meet to get their work done, and better yet, it allowed them to use study halls to focus on other subjects.
We're proud to say that there were over 500 instances of students coming in for extra lab help!
We're hoping that next year more science teachers will join and even more students will use the time to be more successful in their studies!
