STARS Program - Fridays at the YMCA

Every Friday after school, our 3rd grade STARS students head over to the Hornell YMCA, where they have the opportunity to make great use of the Y's facilities.  When they arrive, they begin with a snack and homework help.  After that, they join Mark Morrissey's excellent, professional staff to take part in one of three classes: aerobics, art, or music.  Finally, they end the day with half an hour of PE.

We couldn't ask for a better grant partner than the Hornell YMCA.  On Fridays and over breaks, they do an excellent job of providing our students with a sound educational experience.  Furthermore, their PE-related programming is second to none.  If you haven't had the opportunity to visit the YMCA's new facilities, take the time to stop by; it's impressive.
