The Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant enables the Hornell City School District to provide programming meant to enrich the lives of its student population, both academically and socially, at no cost to students or their families. This blog will act as a forum for students, teachers and parents to discuss programming and the many ways we can work together to make it as beneficial as possible to Hornell's students.

YMCA Scholarship Program
12 lucky Hornell students between Kindergarten and 3rd grade have won summer scholarships to participate in the YMCA Care For Kids Program. Over the years, the Hornell YMCA has been a great asset to the Hornell community and a major partner with our grant programs. This year is no different! The 12 students who won the scholarships will get full-day programming at the YMCA Monday through Friday for 6 weeks. At the Y, the students work on a wide range of skills, from STEM to physical education to the arts, all of which culminate to provide these lucky youngsters with an excellent summer experience!
