Thanks to Pat and Pat for all of the great things they're teaching the Bryant School Students!
The Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant enables the Hornell City School District to provide programming meant to enrich the lives of its student population, both academically and socially, at no cost to students or their families. This blog will act as a forum for students, teachers and parents to discuss programming and the many ways we can work together to make it as beneficial as possible to Hornell's students.

STARS Cooking and Nutrition Program
Every Wednesday, the Food and Nutrition program, facilitated by Pat Lamphier and Pat White of Cornell Cooperative Extension, visits our 3rd grade STARS program, and the students are loving it! Not only are they learning the value of good nutrition and a healthy diet, Pat and Pat are teaching the kids all about healthy and inexpensive snacks. Each and every week there is a new topic, and each and every week our students leave with a better understanding of how diet and exercise affect their lives. Not only are they learning what is nutritious, but also why certain things are nutritious, which will prove to be valuable in the long run!
