Last year, we teamed up with Wegmans to provide Hornell's Junior and Senior High Students with an awesome opportunity in food, nutrition, and the culinary arts. This year, we're looking to expand!
Starting Thursday, February, 12, Chef Ken Sanford will be joining Pat Lamphier and Pat White of Cornell Cooperative Extension to offer another culinary program here at HHS. Each week, the students will learn how to prepare inexpensive, healthy foods under the tutelage of a real, working chef! The program will run for 6 weeks, and include a trip to Wegmans for a behind the scenes tour.
If you're interested in getting more information about this program, stop by and see me in room 126! Unfortunately, we can only take the first 12 student who apply, so time is of the essence!
The Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant enables the Hornell City School District to provide programming meant to enrich the lives of its student population, both academically and socially, at no cost to students or their families. This blog will act as a forum for students, teachers and parents to discuss programming and the many ways we can work together to make it as beneficial as possible to Hornell's students.
