Junior High Robotics - FLL Regional Tournament

The Hornell Junior High Robotics team traveled to Corning Community College to participate in the First Lego League Regional Robotics competition.  Hornell's students spent the day tweaking and competing with their robot, and they had a great time doing it.  Furthermore, they had the opportunity to meet with hundreds of other students who enjoy robotics as much as they do!

With STEM jobs being the wave of the future, there's no doubt that our robotics program is benefiting our students in the long term.  As for short term benefits, students are learning very important problem solving, teamwork and analysis skills they can apply to almost any subject!

Two Hornell Students prepare for competition!
One of the most important events at the competition is team building, and our student did an awesome job!
There was a huge turn out for this year's competition - we can't wait until next year!
