S.T.A.R.S. Program - Tie Dye Butterflies Decorate The Bryant School Cafeteria

Our S.T.A.R.S. program art instructors developed a great way to teach our students how colors mix together to make other colors: Tie Dye Butterflies!  Using markers, water and coffee filters, Mrs. Horton and Mr. Turner taught the students about the color wheel, primary colors, and secondary colors - important information for any artist!  The students then hung their work in the cafeteria windows for all the school to see!

If it weren't for the hard work of our art program, these students would get any art instruction until 4th grade... they'd certainly be missing out!

Mixing blue and yellow to get green!

After decorating the cafeteria windows!
