Earth & Sky Creates Mural and Visits CCC and CMOG

Our Earth and Sky group has had an exciting few weeks!  On April 12th, they spent a day in Corning, visiting both the Corning Museum of Glass and Corning Community College.  Jennifer Sellers, who works with our S.T.A.R.S. program as well, is the CCC Earth & Sky group leader.  She was kind enough to prepare her facility for our visit, which included a planetarium show and a look through their solar telescope!  A rare opportunity for our students!

In addition to their field trip, the Earth & Sky students also completed a mural on the ceiling of Earth Science teacher and Earth & Sky leader, Kelly Jackson's, classroom!

Each student was able to paint their own tile in order to create a mural depicting the phases of the moon.
