Cooking Matters - Private Tour of Wegmans!

On February 25th, the students in our Cooking Matters program had the opportunity to take a private tour of the Hornell Wegmans with Chef Ken as their guide.  They learned all about how a grocery store operates behind the scenes, saw how each department comes together to offer customers the best possible shopping experience, and perhaps most importantly, they were able to explore all of the healthy food options Wegmans has available.  After the tour, Chef Ken and the students used the prepared foods department's resources to cook up some delicious Asian Cuisine before retiring to the store's conference room to enjoy the fruits of their labor.  In the conference room, they were joined by Store Manager Brett Ahrens, where he discussed store operations.

Hornell Wegman's has been an exceptional partner for the Cooking Matters program. We can't thank them enough for all of their support, not to mention their donations of time and food.  Without Wegmans' support, the cooking matters program couldn't have been nearly as successful as it's been.

Thank you to Hornell Wegmans!
