The Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant enables the Hornell City School District to provide programming meant to enrich the lives of its student population, both academically and socially, at no cost to students or their families. This blog will act as a forum for students, teachers and parents to discuss programming and the many ways we can work together to make it as beneficial as possible to Hornell's students.

Earth & Sky - Rochester Gem and Mineral Show
Earth & Sky's first field trip of the 2013-2014 school year was to the Rochester Gem, Mineral, Jewelry, and Fossil Show held annually by the Rochester Lapidary Society. Students had the opportunity to explore some of the beautiful gems, minerals and fossils that the Earth has to offer, and check out some of the amazing jewelry that people make out of them. Students had a great time at the event, and look forward to returning next year!
