Otto, the robot used to help students learn character education skills! |
The Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant enables the Hornell City School District to provide programming meant to enrich the lives of its student population, both academically and socially, at no cost to students or their families. This blog will act as a forum for students, teachers and parents to discuss programming and the many ways we can work together to make it as beneficial as possible to Hornell's students.

Too Good For Violence - Steuben Council On Addictions
Over the course of each school year, Steuben Council On Addictions and facilitator Barb McCollumn offer our 3rd grade STARS students two separate six-week character education programs. This year's second program, Too Good For Violence, just wrapped up, and it proved very beneficial to our students. With the help of Otto, a robot the students control, this fun and engaging programs teaches students many skills related to preventing violence!
