The Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant enables the Hornell City School District to provide programming meant to enrich the lives of its student population, both academically and socially, at no cost to students or their families. This blog will act as a forum for students, teachers and parents to discuss programming and the many ways we can work together to make it as beneficial as possible to Hornell's students.

171 Cedar Arts to Join STARS for Ceramics Program
Next month, facilitator and ceramics technician, Amanda Warren, will be starting up a 6 week program with our STARS students. This program, provided by 171 Cedar Arts of Corning, will give students the opportunity to explore the world of ceramics as artistic expression. Students will work on their creative, tactile and coordination skills, all while exploring a medium that will be brand new to most of them! We're really looking forward to this program starting up. With Bryant School not having art programming during the regular school day and 171 Cedar being one of the best art-related NPOs in the area, this is bound to prove highly education and beneficial, not to mention fun!
