Barb McCullum of the Steuben Council on Addictions working with S.T.A.R.S. students on self esteem and social skills! |
The Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant enables the Hornell City School District to provide programming meant to enrich the lives of its student population, both academically and socially, at no cost to students or their families. This blog will act as a forum for students, teachers and parents to discuss programming and the many ways we can work together to make it as beneficial as possible to Hornell's students.

Steuben Council On Addictions Visits S.T.A.R.S. Program
The Bryant School S.T.A.R.S. program is lucky to have Barb McCullum of the Steuben Council On Addictions coming in for the next 6 weeks to work with our students on a wide range of issues. From bullying to college and career readiness, Barb's program is sure to have a positive impact on our students. Her first visit, which took place on 11/06, helped the kids understand self esteem and kindness. With fun games to build social skills and great lessons on positive social interactions, Day 1 was a huge success!
