The Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant enables the Hornell City School District to provide programming meant to enrich the lives of its student population, both academically and socially, at no cost to students or their families. This blog will act as a forum for students, teachers and parents to discuss programming and the many ways we can work together to make it as beneficial as possible to Hornell's students.

Earth & Sky - Stony Brook State Park
The Hornell Jr/Sr High Earth & Sky group's school year culminated in a year end celebration at Stony Brook State Park. Students spent the day hiking and learning about different rock formations as they went. They also took the time to thank Mrs. Jackson for her hard work throughout the year. We're very proud of our Earth & Sky group; they're one of the most active groups in the school, and between field trips, Mrs. Jackson's extra lab help, and environmental advocacy efforts, they've really done a lot benefit themselves and the community in which they live.
